The Toledo Panic Button Doctrine in the West Philippine Sea

The Roman Empire did it. The British Empire copied it in style. The Empire of Chaos has always done it. They all do it. “Divide et impera.” Divide and rule – or divide and conquer. It’s nasty, brutish and effective. Not forever though, like diamonds, because empires do crumble (–Pepe Escobar-). And the Great American Empire too did it in the Philippines. –Delmar T. Taclibon-

The long been flouted friendship between the Philippines and the United States of America will be put to a test anew even not a single struggle or territorial claims we had was supported by our so called Big Brother is evident. Remember our claims for Sabah or East Borneo; it was dissuaded by no other than one of the Great American Empire’s best Presidents – John F. Kennedy. The influence of Great Britain cannot be of course traded off to ours in lieu of the great powers of the West in Southeast Asia.

Southeast Asia has not escaped the impact of globalization, both colonial and corporate. As Europeans expanded their colonial activities, they made their way into Southeast Asia. Southeast Asia is heavily influenced by European colonialism. The only area of the region that was not colonized by the Europeans was Thailand, which was called Siam during the colonial era. It remained an independent kingdom throughout the colonial period and was a buffer state between French and British colonizers. In as much, Japanese colonial empire controlled much of Southeast Asia before World War II.

In the case of Micronesia, Marianas and Guam, our so called bosom friend drew the line in the Pacific that we are not supposed to lay claim with the flimsy reason that those Islands are War Booties and war plunders. We have to bear in mind that the group of islands were part and parcel of the Philippines under Spain since colonial times. The administration of these islands was drawn out of the sweat, blood, and tears of native Filipinos they call Indios in that epoch.

In the West Philippine Sea, a vital shipping route through which $5 trillion of trade passes every year. Not to set aside the presence of vast Hydro Carbon deposit, an extension of the Malampaya Oil rig exploration that is within our legitimate territory. The United State of America signified intentions to deploy her fire-power and might via Pentagon sending U.S. military aircraft and ships to assert freedom of navigation around growing Chinese-made artificial islands or just a form of “Toledo Panic Button?”

Is the Philippines a mere country to exploit by the Great Powers and is the United States of America a friend or foe? Considering that those who now extracting oil in the West Philippine Sea Oil Basin are the same people who owns Petro China, Russia’s Yukos, Dutch Shell, Aramco and others (The Owner of N M Rothschild & Sons, Petro China, Aramco, Dutch Shell, AIG, Petron Phil., Ashmore, Yukos of Russia, Lynch, Morgan Stanley, J P Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many other controlling Oil Corporations). The United States of America and the People’s Republic of China are but Con-Artists and the former is playing the “Toledo Panic Button?

What is the “Toledo Panic Button?”

When you shoot your cohort to prove you’re not in working together, or pretend to wage war against an intruder or encroacher of a friend’s territory in the act that you are in fact working with that intruder. It is a Con-artist pretending to turn on each other in-order to dupe those whom they pretentiously call friend.

Richard Rovair used the old Toledo Panic Button tactic and shot his friend then pretended to give chase when the Mob Boss caught them stealing. Lucky for his friend it was only a flesh wound.

China didn’t almost get slightly shot by accident. USA pulled a “Toledo Panic Button” on him when the Philippines found China and USA inside their territory clandestinely, and their expensive possessions being stolen. USA said he sensed a strange activity of China, went to check it out, and saw China stealing. The Philippines think USA is a hero now and his cohort China is a villain when in fact they are both scoundrels.

“It is now your most sensible judgment that must prevail and my judgment should
be wrong instead, God save the Philippines.”

“Today I weep for my former colleague. A COA-UN auditor who just died of a heart attack. He is the auditor behind the DoH report. Stress can kill, please let us offer a minute of prayer!” saad ni Mendoza nitong Martes.

“Sa Team Leader ng DoH, Jake, may the heaven open up and receive your soul together with all our prayers for the country and the institution we served! Condolences to your family and the COA family, especially the Resident Audit Team in the Department of Health,” patuloy niya.

Sa isa pang post sinabi ni Mendoza na tumulong din si Cimafranca sa pagbalangkas sa audit report kaugnay naman sa Department of Information and Communications Technology.

“As if not enough Jake, the Team Leader of DoH, is also the one behind the DICT audit report. Audit is life! And I’m sure you will be at peace because you have lived a life meant to serve many! My prayers and gratitude,” wika ni Mendoza.

Why Do Most Filipinos Support President Rodrigo Duterte Till Now?

Why Do Most Filipinos Support President Rodrigo Duterte Till Now? - Alon Calinao Dy

This is a question I always ask to myself. Why do many Filipinos still support the very simple and truly honest Mayor Rodrigo Duterte? Every time my bashers told me, “Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, you’re a Dutertard!” It simply means a fanatic of the President. Well, I truly appreciate his strong commitment for the Filipinos and for this country.

Like most common Filipinos, I admired President Duterte for being simple, brave and honest leader of this country. He risked his life for the Filipinos who supported him and for making Philippines a better place for everyone and by battling against oligarchs and powerful families who controlled illegal drugs, criminalities and rampant corruption in this country. Who would do these courageous acts? only President Duterte!

This is a wonderful quote of former President Ferdinand Marcos when he was still alive, “no matter how strong and dedicated a leader may be, he must find root and strength amongst the people. He alone cannot save the nation. He may guide, he may set the tone, he may dedicate himself and risk his life, but only the people may save themselves.”

I love this popular quote because it just shows that even though we have an outstanding president right now who cares for the Filipino people, it’s not enough without lasting peace and unity among ourselves. President Duterte is one person, he may be the powerful person in the country, but his real power comes from Filipinos who voted and supported him.

Duterte can inspire everyone to do good things. But it’s up for every Filipino if they’re willing to change for the better. And no matter how good you are to people, it doesn’t matter to them and there will be always people criticizing you. That’s why this quote is true “you can’t please everyone.” But all you have to do is continue what you think is right for the country.

I just don’t understand why the opposition HATE president Duterte so much. HATE is such a strong word that destroys us all. I asked myself, why would you hate a man who risked his life for the good of this country? Why would you hate a simple and honest person like the president? And, why would you hate a man who fought illegal drugs, criminalities and corruption?

If only social media existed before, truth could save us all than the lies spread faster on some TV networks. The moment I watched some TV news in the Philippines who had spreading ‘fake news’ and propaganda against the president, I stopped watching the news as it only divided Filipinos politically.

The truth is, The Real Change is in you…The Real Power is in your hands. Altogether You can change the Nation. Sad but inevitable truth, President Duterte will soon retire and out of the office. But after many years from now, aside from other excellent jobs, Filipinos will always remember him for his ‘Build, Build, Build,’ project as could become his legacy for sure.
